Coquito

There's only a few requirements for a Puerto Rican coquito is definitely one one of them. Although we don't use the classic coco lopes feel free to substitute the coconut condensed milk for Coco Lopez for a more traditional take on it. And as always, tweak these recipes to make them your own and Feliz Navidad!


Ingredients:

  • 2 cans of evaporated milk

  • 1 can condensed milk

  • 1 can condensed coconut milk

  • 2 cans coconut milk

  • 3 cinnamon sticks

  • 3-4 cardamon pods

  • nutmeg

  • vanilla extract ground cinnamon

  • coconut rum


Directions:

  1. Toast your spices and deglaze your pan with 4oz of coconut rum, cook off the alcohol.

  2. Add your coconut milk, condensed milk, and evaporated milk, to a boil and season with nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla, and coconut rum to taste. Remove from heat.

  3. Let it rest at least overnight and enjoy!
