Too many herbs at home? Make THIS!
Did you buy too many herbs and don’t want them to go bad? Use this as your basic recipe and pack some flavor into your next snack or meal!
I always want herbs at home, so I always get a big variety to compliment what I might have growing outside. However, after a week or 2 of hard work I might have eaten out once or twice so I have more and more herbs that are about to lose their brightness. Does this sound like you too? (I know it does) Buuuut! Fear no more, I have come here to save your life and your herbs!
I had these specific herbs at home but trust me, you can do this with anything you have available at home and it will still be GREAT.
Ingredients:
• 1 can of anchovies (Trust me it’s not gonna tase weird, this adds salt, texture and some yummy brininess)
• 2 Cloves of garlic
• Juice of 1 lemon
• 4 tbsp of Olive oil (extra virgin duh)
• Your favorite herbs! (We used mint, basil, green onions, and parsley)
• 4 red chillies ( not necessary but i had some from our little plant and it added some nice heat )
• 1/2 cup of mayo (Duke’s mayo obviously)
We put this sauce on everything until we ran out, sandwiches, fish, eggs, wraps and anything else that comes to mind. Trust us, you need this!
