Arroz Con Leche de Coco

Arroz con leche always hits with melancholy and reminds me of a warm hug from my ancestors. Every Puerto Rican has had arroz con leche, so it lives in our memories and if you ever need to get them back just follow this recipe and enjoy!


Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup rice( we used jasmine)

  • 1 cup Coco lopez

  • 2 cups unsweetened Almond milk

  • 1 vanilla bean

  • Pinch of salt


Directions:

1. Mix everything except a cup of almond milk in a pot, cook on medium heat for 15-20 minutes and check the doneness of your rice. If it needs more time add a 1/4 cup of almond milk and cook for 5 more minutes. Repeat until rice is cooked and the consistency reaches the desired creaminess.


Ingredients:

  • Cinnamon Tuille

  • 35 g egg whites

  • 35 g butter

  • 35 g ap flour

  • 35 g honey

  • 1/2 tbsp cinnamon

  • Pinch of salt


Directions:

1. Mix everything together with a whisk, spread and then bake on a nonstick pad at 350 for 10-12 minutes.
