Pecan Mixed Berry Crumble

This warm and sexy dessert can change anyone’s mind about crumbles. Our household is divided into liking fruit crumbles and not liking them, but it was all until this recipe arrived. Feel free to change the nuts, fruits, and flour to your preference.


Ingredients:

  • 150g blackberries

  • 150g strawberries

  • 2 tbsp caster sugar

  • 2 drops almond extract



For the crumble topping:

  • 40g chopped pecans

  • 75g whole wheat flour

  • 50g caster sugar

  • 65g unsalted butter (diced & chilled)

  • 40g rolled oats



Directions:

1. Preheat your oven at 375°F.


2. Cut all your berries and toss them with the first amount of sugar and two drops of almond extract.


3. On a separate bowl mix your flour, oatmeal, butter, pecans, sugar and mix with your hands, breaking the chunks of butter with your fingers and incorporating the flour in them.


4. On a baking dish put your berries on the bottom, sprinkle your crumble on top and bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown on top and your fruit mixture can be seen bubbling.
